If you’ve recently had dental x-rays, then you’re probably curious about why your dentist takes so many different images of your teeth from so many different angles.
This video provides an overview on bitewing x-rays and their uses. Bitewing x-rays are taken in a series of 2 or 4 and are used to examine the sides of your teeth and gums. While your general dentist can identify cavities on the top surface of your teeth using a number of instruments, bitewing x-rays are the only way to determine if you’re suffering from decay in between your teeth.
